Age Policies • Water Walking

The New Holland Rec Center offers a unique state of the art aquatic facility. The 116,000 gallon pool stays at a constant 83 degrees year around, which goes great with the comfortable 85 degree air temperature. It's divided into two free flowing parts, a Leisure pool and Lap pool. The Leisure pool offers a zero depth entry point and gradually decreases to a depth of 3ft. 6in. It is equipped with a water slide that pumps 800 gallons per minute, a water mushroom which has 100-300 gallons of water run through it every minute, bubble jets, and under water benches that are a great way to watch the kids while chatting with friends.

The 4 lane twenty five yard lap pool is designed for multiple purposes with a maximum depth of 5 ft. Swimming 36 laps (or 72 lengths) is the equivalent of swimming one mile. Not only is it available for the swim enthusiasts but was also built with the capabilities to have a water volleyball court and i nner tube water polo games on event nights.

The fitness center is 8,000 square feet. State-of-the-art Star Trac cardiovascular and strength training equipment. 16 piece circuit training area. Cardiovascular area has 10 treadmills, 10 ellipticals, 3 recumbent bikes, 3 upright bikes, 2 Steppers, 1 UBE (hand bike), and 2 Expresso Upright Bikes. Spacious free weight area featuring Star Trac's Max Rack® 3D Smith Machine, 9 station cable column and Star Trac's dual adjustable column. Star Trac is the same equipment featured on TV's Biggest Loser program!

NHRC has a junior high size gymnasium. The floor is rubber, inlayed with volleyball and basketball court boundaries.

Parents Night Out

Spend a night out while we entertain your kids at the Rec!  We will spend the evening playing games, being in the pool and eating dinner!  These nights will work in conjunction with the Floatin' Flicks so the older children (tweener eligible) will watch a movie in the pool! 

Dates:  September 24; October 15; November 12; December 3

Time:  5-9pm                 Ages:  1yr. - 12yrs. old

Cost:  member - $15/child ($10 for siblings); non-member - $20/child ($15 for siblings)

Register deadline is the Friday prior to each monthly event and should be completed at the front desk.  We must have 15 children signed up in order to have the event.  40 child maximum.

The walking/jogging track is a rubberized surface having two lanes. 11 laps makes a mile. The track surrounds the pool and locker rooms.

The 2,450 square foot aerobics room features a rubberized floor, 3 walls with mirrors and state-of-the art sound system.

The classroom is fully equipped to provide you with everything that you will need to host a successful meeting. Offering space for up to 45 people, the classroom provides your group with everything from a podium to A/V equipment and more. Conference tables and chairs are available upon request. The classroom offers wireless internet access at no additional charge.

The game room is a multi-use space designed to provide fun and recreation for any age group. You will find two regulation pool tables, ping pong, hockey, a television that is equipped with Wii games and vending machines. This room can accommodate up to 60 people. Tables and chairs are available upon request.

The Multi Purpose room is just off of the swimming pool and includes a full kitchen with all appliances. This room is perfect for parties, meetings and demonstrations. The Multi Purpose room can hold up to 45 people. Banquet tables and chairs are available upon request.
